Super weekend in the Wakatipu

Rugby fans are in for a treat this weekend with kiwi Super Rugby teams The Highlanders and Chiefs converging on the resort to play a pre-season game - and the good news for fans is it will be FREE to watch. The game will be played at the Queenstown Recreation Ground in central Queenstown and kicks off at 5pm on Saturday. Get along and see some of the big names in New Zealand rugby in action before the Super competition starts on February 24. Keeping up with the packed summer music programme - 70s rockers The Doobie Brothers and Little River Band will take to the stage for the second annual Gibbston Valley Winery Summer Concert on Saturday as well - there's always plenty of things to do in the Wakatipu! Kiwi muso Jason Kerrison rounds out the weekend with a performance at The Winehouse, Gibbston, in the third installment of its Summer Playground Series on Sunday afternoon.
